You can share most types of files except for .tif files, and the largest file size that you can upload to a space is 2 GB. You can also preview documents without downloading them first if they're no more than 50 pages and less than 100 MB in size, and one of these file types: .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .xls, and .xlsx

When you add animated GIFs, they'll play automatically in the app if you keep their file size to under 2 MB.

Share files with others

Drag and drop a file or choose a file source, to share them to the space:

Drag and drop a file:

  • Go to Messaging, then select the files you want to share and drag and drop them to any space in the spaces list, or if you are working in a space you can drag and drop files directly to the message area.

  • When you are in a space you can also click Content > Files, select the files you want to share and drag and drop them to the Files tab.

The message area opens automatically so you can confirm that you want to copy them into the space.

You can drag and drop up to ten files at a time. File types include: .doc, .docx, .csv, .key, .ppt, .pptx, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .mp3, .mp4, .mov, .mpg, and .wmv. Folders and .tif files aren't supported at the moment.

Select a file source:

  • Click Attachment to select a file.
  • Click Screen capture to select a part of your screen to capture.

Then, click to send the file.

Select the files you want to share, you can add up to ten files at a time, and then tap Send .

You can also drag and drop files to share them on iPads using iOS 11. Just touch and hold the file or image you want to share and drag it to a space.

Drag and drop the file into the message area or click Attachment to select a file. Then, press Enter to send the file.
